Back To The Green Hell | NLS Race 3. The Road To 24 LIVE

The third round of the 2025 ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) — the 56th Adenauer Rundstrecken-Trophy — takes place this Saturday (10 May), with a high-quality 141-car entry headlined by a fierce GT3 contest.

The premier SP9 class will feature a number of factory-backed lineups and reigning champions. Leading the entry is newly crowned WEC LMGT3 champion Joel Sturm, who joins Dinamic GT’s Porsche 911 GT3 R alongside Bastian Buus and Loek Hartog. The trio faces strong opposition from Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed, fielding two GT World Challenge Europe-winning lineups: Lucas Auer shares driving duties with Adam Christodoulou and Mikaël Grenier, while Maro Engel partners with Fabian Schiller and Luca Stolz.

Reigning DTM champion Mirko Bortolotti returns in the Red Bull Team ABT Lamborghini Huracán GT3, joined by Christian Engelhart and Luca Engstler. Audi representation is led by Scherer Sport PHX, pairing 2024 GT Cup Europe champion Luca Ludwig with International GT Open title-winner Christopher Haase in their R8 LMS GT3 EVO2.

The top-class battle also includes key names from last year’s ADAC RAVENOL 24h-Nürburgring winners, now split across manufacturers. Frank Stippler will pilot the new Ford Mustang GT3 for HRT Ford Performance. Dennis Marschall drives a Falken Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R alongside LMGT3 Le Mans winner Morris Schuring. Ricardo Feller stays with Scherer Sport PHX but switches to a Porsche.

Walkenhorst Motorsport brings an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo for 24h Spa winner Nicki Thiim and co-driver David Pittard.

Beyond the SP9 class, several other 2024 champions are competing across categories. Porsche Sprint Challenge GT3 winner Lorenz Stegmann lines up in Cup 3 for W&S Motorsport. Nick Deißler, who starred in last season’s RCN series, competes in the PETN class for Adrenalin Motorsport.

Adrenalin Motorsport’s multiple-title-winning BMW 330i crew of Philipp Leisen, Philipp Stahlschmidt and Daniel Zils are back, leading the Production Car Trophy with two wins so far in 2025. They are one of just three teams with a perfect record after two rounds, alongside SRS Team Sorg Rennsport’s Heiko Eichenberg and Harley Haughton (Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS) and Mühlner Motorsport’s Tim Scheerbarth and Arne Hoffmeister (Porsche 911 GT3 Cup).

Haughton also tops the Junior Trophy standings, while Eichenberg leads the Gentleman Trophy. Falken Motorsports, with the #3 Porsche, currently holds the lead in the NLS Speed Trophy.

Several drivers who topped the 2024 NLS season are back in different machinery. Sven Markert returns in the Adrenalin BMW M240i Racing Cup car (#1), while Toby Goodman has moved to AVIA W&S Motorsport in a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS. Ladies Trophy winner Desiree Müller steps up to Cup 3.
