Australian driver Chris Mansell will start from position three for tonight’s running of the Pau Grand Prix. Fresh from a second place in yesterday’s first race, Mansell will be hoping to make another flying start to chase down race one winner and pole sitter Oliver Goethe.
Goethe again proved the standout driver in this year’s EuroFormula Open series with an all the way win over Mansell who spent most of his race holding out Vladislav Lomko.
Should he win the race, Mansell will become only the second Australian to win at the famous street circuit the other being Sir Jack Brabham who won in both 1960 and 1966.
