Taming The Bull: Watch The Michelin Le Mans Cup LIVE

Australian Sports Car Specialist Scott Andrews will drive for his third team at the third round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup this weekend at Austria’s Red Bull Ring. Becoming known as a Super Sub, Andrews will replace American driver Jonathon Jorge who has an injury and now can’t compete in the Duquiene Engineering entered Ligier LMP3. The car owner and co-driver Joel Janco was quick on the phone to call Andrews. Both Jorge and Janco have known Andrews for quite a few years having been associated in the USA during Andrews stint there in F2000 and F1600 where Andrews won the 2015 F1600 title. Scott drove for Graff Racing at round two of the series at Le Mans securing the fourth fastest lap in Race 1 for the crack French Team. Previous to this Scott drove with Danish team Keo Racing where he topped the time sheets in practice at Monza. “It’s a three from three streak running for different teams” Andrews laughed. “Ultimately it’s not ideal racing for a new team every time I drive – but at this point I am happy to take any opportunity that arises. “A big thanks goes out to Joel Janco, who I will be teaming up with for the Red Bull Ring. “I met Joel years ago when I was starting out in the Road to Indy and lately we have discussed driving together in prototype racing, so I’m stoked that this can happen. “I send my best wishes to Jonathan Jorge who I will be filling in for and look forward to a fun & successful weekend.”

The third round of the Michelin Le Mans cup will be held at midnight AEST July 23 around the world famous 4.3km Grand Prix circuit.
