The 4 Hours Of Silverstone. Watch It Live

On a dry track and under cloudy skies, the Russian flagged G-Drive Racing team once again headed the time sheets at the end of the second and final free practice session ahead of tomorrow’s 4 Hours of Silverstone, which is Round 4 of the 2018 European Le Mans Series.
Jean-Eric Vergne was the fastest of the G-Drive trio, with the French driver clocking a 1m45.490, nearly a second faster than his best lap in FP1. The no21 Dragonspeed Oreca was once again second fastest of the LMP2 runners, with Ben Hanley lapping the Silverstone track in a 1m46.194. Two Dallara’s were third and fourth fastest with the no47 Cetilar Villorba Corse P217 of Felipe Nasr setting a 1m46.324 and Matevos Isaakyan posting a 1m46.689 in the no35 SMP Racing Dallara-Gibson.

British team 360 Racing topped the LMP3 category, with Ross Kaiser setting a 1m57.179, three tenths ahead of reigning champion Sean Rayhall in the no2 United Autosports Ligier-Nissan.

Porsche was once again the car to have in the LMGTE class with the no88 Proton Competition 911 of Matteo Cairoli setting the fastest GTE lap of the day with a 1m59.474. The no55 Spirit of Race Ferrari of Matt Griffin was second, 0.152s behind the Porsche and 0.13s ahead of the no86 Gulf Racing Porsche.

Qualifying for the 4 Hours of Silverstone will take place later tonight Saturday 18 August, followed by the race at 10:30PM AEST.
