United Autosports Juggernaut Rolls On In Free Practice. WATCH Qualifying LIVE

The no22 United Autosports Oreca of Phil Hanson and Filipe Albuquerque was the fastest car in a red flag shortened Free Practice 2 at Monza with a 1m34.985 lap.

There were two red flags, the second caused by the no34 Inter Europol Competition Ligier going off track and damaging the barriers at Turn 7. With less than ten minutes of the session remaining the session was stopped to give the marshals time to repair the barriers.

The no27 Dragonspeed Oreca was second fastest, 0.347s behind the no22 Oreca, with the no31 Panis Racing Oreca in third with a best lap of 1m35.378.

The LMP3 category was topped by the no11 Eurointernational Ligier of Nicolas Maulini, Niko Kari and Jacopo Baratto, with Kari posting a 1m44.775 lap time, three tenths ahead of the no3 United Autosports Ligier and 1.2 seconds in front of the no9 Graff Ligier.

The no93 Proton Competition Porsche topped the LMGTE class standings once again, with Richard Lietz posting a 1m46.886, 0.148s ahead of the no60 Iron Lynx Ferrari and near half a second ahead of the sister car, the no77 Proton Competition Porsche.

Qualifying for the 4 Hours of Monza will take place this afternoon, starting at 13h40 with the LMGTE class, followed by a 10-minute session for the LMP3 and then the LMP2, to determine the grid for Round 4 of the 2020 European Le Mans Series on Sunday 11 October.
